Bottle of virtue
From the archives of TiPWiki, the unofficial Duke TIP Wiki
The 'Bottle of Virtue', most known from the Duke at ASU Campus, was an instrument used during TIP-dances. The bottle was to ensure an appropriate distance apart between dance partners. This resulted in many a joke made about the bottle-wielders and what an "appropriate" distance might be. It was also popularized during the Staff Impersonation round of PIT-Fest. Some girls even decided to wear their OWN Bottles of Virtue in response to this new rule. The Shakespere class also used it in their production of Romeo and Juliet during Term II.
