Emo monday

This event is traditionally held on the second monday and usually consists of tipsters dressing up emo. You are often able to see many people wearing black during this day, but only the really cool people dress up. In East Term II 2007, almost half of the campus dressed up and decided to take as its emo greeting, "Life sucks."

Also at East, TIPsters often work to make Young Writers especially uncomfortable on Emo Monday, largely by swarming the Union steps after lunch and staring silently at the long lines of giggling Young Writers. It's fun.
