FIRST YEAR a parody of 7 year. First year was written by Hadden Duling(4th year of 2016, UGA). It is still a work in progress.

Once I was a first year, My RC told me

Go meet your friends here you will never be lonely

Once I was a first year

It was a big campus, but we made this our home

Learning about our classes, we were loving it all

By the second week zuba was all the rage

But I Never know i’d miss it all so much

Once I was a second year, my RC told me

Go meet your new extended family

Once I was a second year

I always had smile to that made them happy

So I stated sing song for my love ones

Something about there smile made me gladdly happy

cause the one I love are my family

Once I was a third year. My RC learned we’re

more than family, we’ll never be lonely

Once I was a Third year

I only see my friends, I don't believe in enemies

Cause I know the smallest memories are major

I got my classes here, and RC group there

And if we don't meet before I leave, I hope I'll see you later

Once I was a Third year, my friendship had grown

I was loving everything I saw before me,

Once I was a third year

Now we’ve had our fourth year

Our traditions passed down

We’ve had our time now let’s get going

Now we’re fourth years

I’m so happy I got this time to be with you

And I’ve faced so many nights, thanks for seeing me through

You kept me breathing long enough to see the tree keep growing

But now ive got a few less scars to worry about showing

I came back again to care for a place I once called home

Long as we’re wearing lanyards we’ll live forever

I Only hope I earn the right to this blue one

One more summer till my time here is truly gone

Will this place remember me

or will I just pass through like the wind passes through a tree

Either way I know this is where Ill leave a part of me

Wether or not that means a thing I guess we’ll wait and see

But until the day I die here is where my family will be
