The Moth Song
The Moth Song was created by Sarah Kaase and Raina Zhang at Rice, 2018, Term 1, and was inspired by Sarah's at home friends. The Literature License Without Limits could be heard singing the song while leaving the cafeteria on any given day of the last half of the term. One of the members of the OG Moth Man song singers is Cole Hall who is also the High Preist of the Furby Cult. Sarah left the responsibility of making The Moth Song a tradition to the Literary License Without Limits class in her fourth year will. The song goes along with the tune of YMCA. These are the current lyrics.
Moth man, you’re a man who’s a moth
I said, moth man, you’re a moth who’s a man
I said, moth man, and your wings are so soft
When they flap against my lap shade
Diu diu diu diu diu
You’re a man who’s a M O T H
You’re a man who’s a M O T H
You’re a man who’s a moth
You’re a moth who’s a man
You’re a lepidoptera man
Moth man, do you know what you are?
I said, moth man, ‘cuz i know what you are
I said, moth man, you’re a moth who’s a man
Yeah you are a man who’s a moth
Diu diu diu diu diu
You’re a man who’s a M O T H
You’re a man who’s a M O T H
You’re a man who’s a moth
You’re a moth who’s a man
You’re a lepidoptera man
Moth man, are you feeling quite well?
I said, moth man, you don’t look very swell
I said, moth man, maybe you should lie down
Because you can’t die, we love you
Diu diu diu diu diu
You’re a man who’s a M O T H
You’re a man who’s a M O T H
You’re a man who’s a moth
You’re a moth who’s a man
You’re a lepidoptera man
M O T H
You’re a man who’s a M O T H
Moth man, moth man, there’s no need to feel down.
Moth man, Moth man, get yourself off the ground
M O T H
You’re a man who’s a M O T H
You’re a man who’s a moth
You’re a moth who’s a man
Your just a man who is a moth
You’re a man who’s a M O T H
