Dorms

Trans kids can be placed in a RAG that corresponds to their gender identity. However, you need to call main office at least 2 weeks before for this to happen. IF YOU DO NOT CALL THEM AT LEAST 2 WEEKS BEFORE THE START OF YOUR TERM, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET INTO A RAG THAT MATCHES YOUR GENDER IDENTITY In general, trans kids don't have roommates, however this isn't always a negative. If your residence hall is suite style, you may have an entire suite to yourself, but this depends on the number and distribution of tipsters at your campus and term.

Bathrooms

Some campuses have gender neutral bathrooms, availability may vary. Tipsters can, in general, use the bathroom they identify with, but it is a good idea to check with the administration first. For 2016, the availability of gender neutral bathrooms is as follows:

UGA –Suite-Style with attached bathroom available

Georgia Tech – Suite Style with attached bathroom available; this is a NEW location for this year.

WEST – Traditional style/communal bathrooms, with a handful of rooms that happen to have their own bathrooms. Typically these go to staff, however students can be placed as needed.

RICE – Traditional style/communal bathrooms, no gender neutral spaces available

EAST – Traditional style/communal bathrooms, no gender neutral spaces available there should be a single-toilet gender neutral restroom on the first floor of each dormitory (at least in Pegram, Brown, Alspaugh, and Bassett), though none of them have showers. Additionally, as with West campus, some rooms have their own bathrooms, and these are allocated as necessary.

Duke MARINE Lab – cabins with communal bathrooms, no gender neutral bathroom spaces available in the cabin, but one gender neutral restroom (stall & sink) near the dining hall.

TRINITY – Suite-Style, Gender Neutral bathroom attached to rooms and in ground floor lobby

WFU – Suite-Style, Gender Neutral bathroom attached to rooms and in ground floor lobby

ASU – Gender Neutral restroom (stall & sink) in ground floor lobby – the rest of the building is traditional style/communal bathrooms

ROLLINS – Gender Neutral restroom (stall & sink) in ground floor lobby – the rest of the building is traditional style/communal bathrooms

DAVIDSON – Gender Neutral restroom (stall & sink) in ground floor lobby – the rest of the building is traditional style/communal bathrooms
