Congratulations was a term used quite frequently in the class at Davidson Term 2, 2013. It started when Andrew and Naomi were trying to figure out what message to encrypt and send to another group. They chose congratulations to congratulate the group on decrypting the plaintext. Later in the day, the activity was repeated with two other ciphers. Naturally, the pair sent congratulations again and again. The term stuck with them and became their name for review games and showed up in games of hangman. Another variation is congraDulations. Naomi kept spelling congratulations wrong during the activity which got the other groups and Andrew a little frustrated. It also didn't help that earlier it was made known in another group activity that Naomi wasn't a human calculator and she needed time to think before spitting out an answer. Andrew throughout the term playfully teased her because of her mistake.
