Field Studies

Duke describes field studies as follows: These two-week summer residential programs for students in ninth through twelfth grade take place at Duke University, New College of Florida, or the Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute. Courses cover a variety of different academic disciplines.

Field Studies is essentially the less popular of Duke TiP's two main summer programs (The other obviously being Summer Studies). While Summer Studies is available for students in grades 7-10, Field studies is available for students grades 9-12. It's also worth noting that Field Studies is only 2 weeks long, whereas Summer Studies is 3.

As of summer 2019, Field Studies was offered at 3 sites:

• Duke University
• New College of Florida
• PARI

Summer Studies was discontinued by Duke TiP after the summer of 2019.
