TIP flu

The TIP flu is what happens every year during the second week of term. One TIPster starts sneezing, and before you realize what's happened, the entire camp is sick. Doesn't matter if you're coughing, puking, or spontaneously combusting, its the TIP flu.

This was shown at Duke East term I 2009 There was a huge outbreak of the H1N1 virus (swine flu) many tipsters (14 confirmed cases) got the flu and were quarantined in Giles for up to 7 days.

A similar outbreak was recorded at Davidson term II 2009, when over 60 kids were sent home, and easily 100 were quarantined. Some TIPsters, such as Kate Tranchina, were called home by parents who didn't want their children to get sick. (Kate's early departure devastated this author, who was then the only girl in Modern Medicine.)
