Trip Threats

The Triple Threats, otherwise known as Trip Threats, was an RC group consisting of thirteen 3rd year girls, run by an amazing RC, Sandra Godina. This RC group went to TAMU Term 2, 2012. The name Trip Threats originated from the idea that the RC group had girls that had three main traits- they were pretty, smart, and nice. Later in the term, the girls discovered that they had won all three events, the only RC group doing so, which fit with their name, Trip Threats. They were on the second floor of Moses Hall, on the furthest right side. Each of the thirteen girls in this group grew closer through the three weeks, and ultimately formed into a sister-hood. Through the tears and pains they endured, a memorable trip threat, Allison Spindler, quoted, "Your pain, is my pain guys. And when one of my trip threats is hurt, I am too."

Their Successes Include:

In every event the trip threats took on, they always came through triumphant. All of the girls were good sports and humble in their successes throughout the term.

1- State Fair- Sarah Styrker was chosen to pick a bow out of the box, and together the girls thought of the funniest skit, created by Dawson Beuttner, the five steps to pure seduction.

• 1st- Check them out.
• 2nd- Raise your eyebrows.
• 3rd- Wink.
• 4th- Lick your teeth.
• 5th- Bite.

The girls racked together tickets at state fair, and announced at the talent show won second place amongst all other RC groups.

2- Scavenger Hunt- With these athletic girls, the group won third place in the scavenger hunt, a mixture of speed, wittiness, and sparkle. The two groups before them were both boy RC groups, putting the trip threats as the first girl RC group to place.

3- Roll Call- The theme of the term at TAMU Term 2 was Youtube Sensations.The girls chose Harry Potter Puppet Pals, The Mysterious Ticking Noise. Each of the girls participated to their fullest, adding sensation and laughter to the performance. The girls built a stage out of cardboard, and dressed according to their character. Although there was not 13 positions, the girls put their heads together and decided to use the remaining trip threats as death eaters. The characters were as following:

The girls definitely put on a show filled with reassuring cheers, and plentiful of smiles. Although embarrassing, all enjoyed every second of it. In the end, the trip threats succeeded with an outstanding third place.

Every Day Lives:

Every night the girls would pass around Betty the Unicorn, and state their highs and lows of the day. A tradition that formed among the girls was NOLO YOLO's. If a trip threat stated they had NOLO YOLO for the day, the rest of the RC group would snap in unison as a sign of happiness. Another tradition the trip threats followed, was their significant item and thing they love about a certain trip threat. Every night, a different girl was picked to say one thing they loved about them for the night. Also, each of the girls shared a significant item for the night and was allowed a minute (although never followed) to be asked questions about themselves.

A code of life was written up by the trip threats during an RC group meeting. All of the trip threats received a print out of the page the following morning, where they were posted among the dorm rooms. All of the girls put effort into following their code of life. The document was as follows:

The RC group created two chants that they recited after successes, and occasionally on walks to dinner or other activities.

BANG BANG CHOO CHOO TRAIN, WIND US UP WE'LL DO OUR THANG. WE'RE REALLY SMART AND HAVE FUN TOO, YOU WISH YOU WERE THE TRIP THREAT CREW. WOOOOO!

WE, WE DON'T. WE DON'T SWEAT WE GLISTEN CAUSE WE TRIP THREATS, YEAH YEAH WE TRIP THREATS.

The trip threats today participate in highs lows on their facebook page, and are keeping in touch stronger than ever. Even though they all do not talk to one another often, they always consider each other family, because they will always sparkle with no shame.
