Annual Student Ultimate Tournament
A Duke campus tradition, the Student Tournament consists of completely student organized Ultimate teams competing for a spot to organize and captain the Student/Staff Game. The event didn't occur during Term I at Duke East 2005, much to the general unrest of Fourth Years and Ulimateers across campus. The number of teams can be as few as four, and as high as eight. It's really up to the students, the only thing Staff members participate in is designing pool play and the final bracket.

- RUNNER UP - Sam's Club (for a different reason than the year previous)(this was a group made up by the members of Sam Warlick's rag and any girl in Brown that wanted to play)
- The staff won the staff vs. student game by a score of 14-9. The game was much closer than anticipated, however. Christian helmed the squad, a team primarily consisting of 4th years. Led by legendary Sam Warlick, Steve Wazny, and Adam Faust, the 2012 staff is by far the best staff team ever to play on East campus. They annihilated west staff by a score of 15-1(during the East vs West staff game) and Term II's Lazer Dragons 15-4 (in the Student vs. Staff game.)
- The closest game this year was the semifinal game between Acrylic Paints and Sam's club, where Sam's club took an early 3-1 lead and Acrylic Paints rallied to force a sudden death tiebreaker at 4-4. After a controversial almost score by Acrylic Paints, Sam's Club won. 5-4.

Led by Robbie and Nick, the team started Jay King, Leon Chambers, Mike "TV" Cooper, Valerie Davis, and Alexis Jones, and beat the Staff 15-9 amid a chorus of "leggos!"

2010
Term I
- CHAMPIONS - Watercolors
Term II
- CHAMPIONS - Lazer Dragons
- RUNNER UP - Playboyz
- The 2010 Lazer Dragons got off to a rough start, with dispute over the name between Frisbee Holder David Freed and his co-captain Steve (leading the team to abandon the Lazer tradition and take the name the Chupacabros). However, after the Lazer Dragon title was taken up by Griffin Katz and Anmol Sinho, there was a change of mind and the two teams played for the title of the Lazer Dragons. The Chupacabros went up 8-0 and never trailed in winning 15-7. Afterwards, they were re-named the Lazer Dragons and the other team became "The Team Formerly Known as the Lazer Dragons". The newly revitalized Lazer Dragons went on to beat the crap out of every other team in the tournament to reach the staff game easily. Led by David Freed and Nico Lake and unofficially coached by Griffin Katz, the Lazer Dragons rolled twenty deep with David, Nico, Mehul Mehta, Nitis Udornpim, Peter Eivaz, Bronwyn Fadem, and Chuckie Allen starting. The staff never had a chance, as the team scored almost at will with the final score being 15-3, quite possibly the biggest blowout in student-staff game history. Afterwards, the Lazer Dragons performed the official team song ("Big Booty Bitches") and left TiP with their own message of champions- ¡Yeeeeaaah!.
2009
Term I
- CHAMPIONS - Watercolors
- RUNNER UP - Ejected
Term II
- Due to the early closing of camp, the student-staff tournament was not completed. A pickup game against the staff was played, however. The remaining Frisbee players the day after the closing of campus went up against the entirety of the staff and lost by a scant two points. It can be inferred by this that if an actual team had played, the staff would have been destroyed. The impromptu team consisted of Aaron Shinn, Danny Richey, Mehul Mehta, Zach Taylor, Patrick Russell, Bronwyn Fadem, Alli Schloeman, Steven Boyd, and Anthony Fernandez. The team was led by Laser Dragon Captain Phillip Geist, who played the entire game and was generally a competent captain as seen by the spectators.

2011
Term I
Note: it was widely accepted that the Anonymous Decepticons and the Sons of Jesus and Daughter should have been the student team champions. Sadly, this was not the case.
- CHAMPION Armageddon (Samir, Nigel, Harlie, Pranav, Joseph, Zamil, Jacob, Sam, Tate, Dylan, and Alan). As a 2nd year team, except for one 3rd year, Armageddon proved to be the dominant frisbee team at Duke West after upsetting heavily favored 4th year squads. Armageddon was not able to win in the staff game, but they did face the far more talented staff team.
- SECOND PLACE Sons of Jesus and Daughter (1 of 2 fourth year teams) The team, consisting mainly of Sean's Monarchs with a few third years, was originally known as the Sons of Jesus, but with the addition of their only girl, Ellen Yuan, they had to change the name. She obviously helped the team a lot, scoring a quite a few points throughout the tournament, and was tots the reason they beat the staff. After getting second place in the student championship to Armageddon, SOJAD soundly destroyed the staff in the final match. The fourth years went out as winners! :) Noice ... Indeed.
- THIRD PLACE Anonymous Decepticons- headed by Samip and Fawwad.
- N/A SKaters Gators. They dropped out before the tournament even started. Team motto: "Quit before you lose"
Term II
- CHAMPIONS - The Team Team
- RUNNER UPS - ThunderCats
- THIRD PLACE - AMW
- FOURTH PLACE - The Other Guys

- CHAMPIONS - (All Stars- Captains were and with being a key contributor) (Went on to beat a staff team that included frisbee-God Sam Warlick 7-4)
- RUNNER UPS - (The A-Team)
Term II
- CHAMPIONS - The Team Team
- RUNNER UPS - ThunderCats
- THIRD PLACE - AznInvazn
- FOURTH PLACE - Zulu Force
- FIFTH PLACE - Nightmares
- SIXTH PLACE - F.U.(Frisbee Unit) aka RC Hannah's Spartans
The Team Team, having won during West Term II 2008, was looking for a repeat performance with a team of entirely fourth years in the tournament. After having a bye and defeating AznInvazn, the team would face the Tyler Vance and the Thundercats, who were looking good after beating Zulu Force in an upset. The championship round opened with an early Thundercats 4-1 lead, but after the Team Team gained a 5-4 advantage, the teams traded touchdowns until the score was 6-6. With the Team Team in control, a play called Helicopter was performed, after which Brett Downey successfully passed across the entire field to Evan Baker, covered by three Thundercats, to win the game.
2008
Term II
- CHAMPIONS - The Team Team
- RUNNER UPS - All Aboard the Fail Boat
- Team NTP
Georgia Tech
2016
Term 2
Long story short: It didn't happen.
Rain cancelled the tournament 90 minutes before it was scheduled to begin. As it was originally scheduled for the last Sunday, the staff broke to TIPsters that there was no hope of being able to reschedule the tournament. As such, no Frisbee tourney results can be posted. Over the next week, many TIPsters voiced their frustration and disappointment in various ways.
Final score for all matches, including the Student/Staff Game: 0-0
2014
Term I
The first ever Georgia Tech Student Ultimate tournament took place on June 15, which was very early into the term, leaving little time to prepare. For this reason, teams were never set like in other camps. Instead, the entire student body (minus most of the 4th years) played the staff, scoring an incredible first point, but then losing quite badly after the staff rallied. Then, the 4th year team, headed by Conor McAvoy, played the 3rd/2nd year team, headed by Raymond, and defeated them soundly, wining the honor of playing the staff. This time, all the good 4th years played, and the game was much closer, reaching 5-5 before the staff scored 2 quick points and won (barely). Analysts speculate that the more energetic and younger student team would have won had the game been played to 11, like it should have been.
4th year team:
- Conor McAvoy (captain and handler)
- Kenny Yin
- Hunter Wells
- Sterling Hoo
- Jonathan Lee
- David Branch
- Jacob Kennard
- Ashley Harriott
- Raymond (handler and 3rd year)
- Decker Ellis (3rd year)
- Wasef "Wasabi" (3rd year)
- Elaine Lowinger (3rd year)
- Grace Cassidy (3rd year)
- Gabriel (sucked though)
- Others that I can't remember
